— Our Story
Your Local Auto Mechanics in Mastic, NY
For the Johanntges family, Mastic is home, and since 1984, Mastic Wheel Alignment & Brake Service has proudly helped local drivers care for the vehicles they depend on every day. Built by Carl and Barbara Johanntges and now joined by their sons Michael, Roland, and Kenny, our shop is a family tradition dedicated to serving our neighbors with personal attention, professional care, and honest automotive guidance.
— Our Approach
A Family Business That Believes in Personal Service
Running a small family-owned shop allows us to provide an experience that can be difficult to find at a larger repair facility.
When you bring your vehicle to us, you are not simply handing over your keys and waiting for an answer. Our small crew allows you to communicate directly with the technicians servicing your vehicle.
We want to hear what you have noticed. Maybe your vehicle has started making an unfamiliar sound. Perhaps the steering feels different, a warning light has appeared, or you simply have a question about maintenance. Those details matter, and so does your input.
Our goal is to provide accurate information and explain what we find so you can make practical decisions about your vehicle without feeling left out of the process.
— Consistent Values
Decades of Automotive Care in Mastic
Vehicles have changed considerably since we opened in 1984, but the values behind our shop have remained consistent.
We believe good automotive service combines technical knowledge with friendly communication. Whether you visit us for auto repair, wheel alignment, brake service, computer diagnostics, tires and balancing, front-end repair, struts and shocks, exhaust work, filters, or radiator service, you can expect our team to take your concerns seriously.
We are proud that the business Carl and Barbara built continues as a family operation with Michael, Roland and Kenny helping serve today's drivers.
